Hey guys.
Everyone seems to think I am multitalented. I play piano, clarinet, and apparently sing very well.
Here are some clips of me singing. I'll find some links of me playing piano, but for now, here are some of me singing.
People have said I should be on The Voice, America's Got Talent, or American Idol. I say none, none, and none.

Honestly I think you should perhaps focus more on your instruments. I am not sure that singing is exactly an area in which you shine. Or perhaps, the songs which you chose to share with us, did not show your voice at its best.
Finally! Someone else who gets it! haha Thanks. :)
I wasn't going to post because I dont' know you at all, so didn't think you'd care about what I had to say. I am a singer with ten years' professional experience, so maybe my opinion might be worth something to you after all.
I think you have potential as someone who can sing. Here's why: you can sing on pitch. Many people who think they can sing cant' cary a tune to save their life.
Here's where you're lacking: in those clips you've shown us, you're practically choking your voice. Zero projection. You are basically whispering your lyrics as if you're ashamed of singing or less than confident in your voice. with that as your status, no--I dont' recommend you going on one of the vocal talent shows. You would not benefit from that because you wouldn't get in--but only because you aren't ready. They'd tare you up on there, and I think the people who have told you to try out are either being really nice, dont' know much about singing, or honestly see your potential.
As I said, I have professional vocal experience and I see your potential. Your voice is smooth, you have a pleasant tambor, though you haven't been able to master vocal projection, I think you have a decent vocal range if explored properly, and you can sing on pitch. You just lack technical skill. The good news is that technical skill can be gained through good coatching and fervent practice. If you were to find a decent voice teacher and you were serious about singing, I honestly think you'd be a more than decent singer. Dont' sing the way you do right now. You're basically choking your voice with your current technique, and that's causing serious harm to your vocal chords. Do you feel your throat tighten up when you sing or after you're done with a number? If so, then you're putting really unnecessary strain on your vocal chords. I mean, I inadvertently tightened my vocal chords just while silently listening to your recordings, because I can hear the strain in your voice and I can only imagine how taxing that is on your vocal chords.
So in short, if you want to pursue singing, get yourself a good vocal coach or teacher. You would probably benefit from a local in-person teacher, but there are online ones you can take advantage of as well. I teach voice online via Skype and facetime for example. I'm not plugging my profession here, by the way. I'm simply telling you to get a teacher--any teacher--if you're serious about singing. you'd probably be pretty good with the right technique. without it though, dont' line up for any auditions.
you're right, i sing quietly. Not exactly ashamed of my voice, (ok kind of), it's more of who can hear it. This one might be a little better.
I'll post it in the next post because i got the wrong link.
If I had either Skype or Facetime, I would look for a voice trainer. However I doo not.
The problem is singing loudly, and I know it. And you are correct, no confidence in my voice.
I am very very bad at high, high, notes, but it's decent.
My friend added the instrumentals when I sent him just the vocal cover.

Nope. It's not about singing loud. It's about letting your voice project properly so that you can sing fluidly whether you're singing loud or quietly. You can't call yourself a good singer if you're a powerhouse who belts everything out but can't sing anything in a soft tone. Too bad; you should get skype. If you did I could give you a few pointers for free. I know you're young and you dont' have the financial strappings to allow yourself quality voice lessons. I could use the online teaching practice though, and you could use some pointers. So at some point, if you can and are willing to get skype --which is free by the way--I'd be happy to spend some time developing your voice with you.
And please. if you can't feel free to let yourself sing without straining your voice to an almost-wisper, just dont' sing during those times. You're ruining your voice by straining it like you do and developing bad vocal habits along the way. You may not know this, but your vocal chords develop muscle memory each time you sing, and the more you practice incorrectly, the longer and harder it'll be to unteach yourself the bad techniques and allow your throat and diaphragm to work as they should.
If you don't want anyone hearing you, then don't sing at all. If you want to sing, dont' worry about people hearing you. Who cares? Its' your voice, your prorogative. I used to be shy like you once, too. but it takes a toll on your voice and it's not worth it.
Yes, I want Skype very much, but I only have a humanware Apex, no i-phone or any ios device or laptop.
But for now, are there any good tips on youtube? I can convert those.
I'll find you some tomorrow and post them here. I knwo there are advanced ones, but I have to see if I can find some beginner ones. I may make you a few recordings myself to which you can practice along. I would have to have time to do that though, as this isnt' my only profession.
Alright, thanks so much. :) People like my voice, might as well work on it. Don't let them see that. haha
here's my latest song cover.
It is called "River Flows in You"
This is a fan made lyric song, to the original piano song. The original piano song is by Yiruma. The fanmade one is by someone named Rubin, I think.
